What I collect
When you use the booking form I collect your name, phone number, email address and postcode. I also collect the property details you give me, such as the property type, the number of fire doors, the reason for the check and anything you write in the message box.
Why I collect it
I use your details to arrange your inspection, work out its price and send your report. The lawful basis under UK GDPR is taking steps at your request before a contract, then carrying out that contract.
Call recording
If I record a phone call, I tell you at the start. A recording is used only to keep an accurate note of what was agreed about your inspection.
Cookies and analytics
A consent banner asks before any analytics cookies are set. If you accept, I collect information about how visitors use the site, such as which pages they view. If you decline, the site sets only the cookies it needs to work.
Who I share it with
I don't sell your data. The companies that run my booking, email and website systems process it on my behalf under contract. If you ask me to repair your doors, I use the same details to arrange the work.
How long I keep it
I keep booking and inspection records for as long as I need them to provide the service and meet legal and tax obligations. Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are deleted once I no longer need them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how I use it and ask for it to be moved to another provider. Where I rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you're unhappy with how I handle your data.
